Objective 1:  Model classroom instructional strategies including: "Jump in Teaching" and "Be SMART:  Exploratory  Questioning"

 

Educational Bootcamp provides real-time coaching and modeling during a lesson as a necessity to  build capacity in teachers struggling with math and/or science content. The utilization of our flagship method of "Jump in Teaching" allows us to model various strategies and clarify content as needed in a live classroom. Our "Be SMART:  Exploratory Questioning" uses a set of probing questions to support the teacher's lesson and ensure that the learners are able to demonstrate their level of  understanding.

 

 

Objective 2:  Coach teachers on creating intervention maps both, immediate and long term

 

Educational Bootcamp will assist in structuring the use of a daily review to identify and react to benchmark weaknesses, immediately.  We believe that waiting for data from monthly or quarterly assessments can be fatal to test scores. We will show how district and/or Bootcamp Assessment data should be used to create intervention maps that incorporate leveled interventions that will target all learners and become more that just an entry in the students Individualized Education Programs (IEP's).

 

 

Objective 3:  Model standards-based lessons for teachers involving hands-on activities with STEM connections

 

Educational Bootcamp completely supports the utilization of hands-on activities to support the content being taught in the classroom.  We will provide vignettes of manipulative lessons that are little to no cost, have minimal set-up times, provide simple and easy to follow procedures, and are differentiated to get results. 

 

 

Objective 4:  Develop content skills for  teachers through standards-based pre-recorded webinars

 

Many elementary level teachers lack math and/or science content knowledge and therefore, fail to teach to the full intent of the standards.  We offer web-based Professional Development and/or Learning Communities (PLCs) that cover all of the grade level standards.  The curricula in the webinars ensure that teachers become proficient on the content, before teaching it before the students in their classrooms.

Objective 5:  Share strategies for interactive note booking to build depth of knowledge and student ownership for learning

 

With greater emphasis on writing across the curriculum, teachers need a systematic, standards-based approach to students creating purposeful writing with high-ordered thinking.  We offer strategies and assistance for creating interactive notebooks that students will not only find pride in, but also use as a study guide for unit and end of year testing.

Objective 6:  Facilitate the development of small groups and educational plans based on data points collected through Bootcamp Assessments and/or other summative assessments. 

 

Many students need a small group setting that complements their learning style in order to master content.  We guide the teachers through the creation of differentiated group plans and the use of tools to informally re-assess and monitor student achievement.  Our methodology for grouping students includes student developmental levels, learning styles, and interests.

 

 

Objective 7:  Assist School Improvement Planning (SIP) teams with the development of objectives, strategies, and timelines for their SIP Plans.

 

Schools create School Improvement Plans and often fail to re-visit the plans and timelines for true implementation and monitoring of goals.  We help schools structure their math and/or science objectives and align the strategies to the rituals and routines created for the classrooms and/or intervention programs.  Our monthly or quarterly meetings will use student journals and assessments to measure the actions placed in the SIP Plans.
